It is surrounded by the biggest concentration of 3000 m+ peaks in the whole range of the Pyrenees, among which is the Aneto, 3 404 m.

It holds great geological values with more than 13 glaciars, 95 lakes and uncountable waterfalls, this together with the richness in flora and fauna contributed to the creation of the Natural Reserve of Posets Maladeta in 1994.

This spectacular environment makes the Benasque Valley a perfect place for all kinds of sports activities in summer as well as in winter: mountain trails, walks, climbing, MTB trails, horseback riding, 4WD, hang-gliding, downhill skiing.....

The nearby village Cerler is the ski resort highest in altitude of the Aragonese Pyrenees. The modern and large installations and the mountain atmosphere that surrounds them, give pleasure to the thousands of the visiting lovers of the white sport every year.

The wide hotel- and service offer, created respecting the natural environment around it, gives the visitor the chance to enjoy fully this corner of the Pyrenees.

This valley belongs to the region of Ribagorza, through which run the rivers Esera and Noguera Ribagorzana. Both rivers are perfect for rafting, kayak, hydrospeed, canoeing.... that is, all white-water sports .

The capital is Graus, a pretty town with an interesting town centre and the Romanesque church San Miguel. Its fiestas, celebrated in September, are famous for the traditional dances and the Mojiganga masquerade.

Other places of interest in this region are the massif of Turbón, the cathedral of Roda de Isabena, the monasteries of Obarra, Alaón and Pnao, Benabarre, Bonansa....

All the villages in this eastern part of the province of Huesca have kept their own, traditional language, customs, fiestas and roots. This permits the visitor to get to know not only the region but also the way of life in these villages and their people.

Without doubt, it is a combination of experiences that is worth while remembering.
